COLUMBUS, Ohio — Gov. Mike DeWine and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted announced approval for seven projects, which will create 660 new jobs and retain 3,333 jobs across the state.The Ohio Tax Credit Authority reviewed economic development proposals brought by Jobs Ohio and regional partners during its monthly meeting. The seven projects are expected to result in more than $39 million in new payroll and spur more than $51.8 million in investments.

In the northeast, the Berkshire Refrigerated Warehousing LLC project in Sheffield is expected to create 90 full-time positions. The Berkshire Refrigerated project is expected to generate $5 million in new annual payroll. Berkshire Refrigerated provides non-contract refrigerated warehousing and storage services and storage for both refrigerated and frozen foods.
The company also provides services for processing, preparing and packaging food for contracted companies. The TCA approved a 1.462%, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
In the northwest, specifically Fremont in Sandusky County, the Motion Controls Robotics Inc. project expects 18 full-time positions, generating $1.2 million in new annual payroll.
