TOKYO — Japan’s overall consumer inflation rose 2.4% from a year earlier in June, exceeding the Bank of Japan’s 2% target for three straight months, government data showed Friday. Core consumer inflation excluding volatile fresh food prices rose 2.2% in June, while the index excluding fresh food and energy prices rose 1.0%.
