PLYMOUTH – The Sheboygan County Fair, 229 Fairview Drive, is back for its 171st year, running Thursday through Monday.  The five-day event will feature many attractions and events, like tractor pulls, car racing and a baking competition. Here are some of the highlights of each day.ThursdayThe fair will open at noon Thursday, introducing several attractions that will be at the fair over its five days, such as MilliporeSigma’s Exploration Station, which will have STEM activities for kids, and a new Butterfly Encounter exhibit.  Mr. Ed’s Magical Midways, Grandpa Cratchet, the Wisconsin Dock Dogs and the Pleasure Valley pig and duck races will also be at the fair.   Rumley Acres will bring antique tractors and host shingle mill demonstrations during the fair.  The Farm Tractor Pull will start at 7 p.m. followed by the 53rd annual animal sale and a performance by Cold Sweat and the Brew City Horns at 7:30 p.m.  FridayThe Sheboygan County Fair will open at 8 a.m. starting Friday.  Those who are 62 years and older will get $1 off admission for Senior Citizen Day. Additionally, current or former military personnel will get free admission with acceptable proof of ID.  Friday will bring junior/open class poultry judging and horse and pony judging at 8 a.m., junior class dairy judging at 9 a.m. and Western horse judging at noon. The Badger State Tractor Pull will start at the Grandstand at 6:30 p.m.  Polka bands will be playing all day at the M&R Pavilion, and the evening will bring four musical artists: Johnny Wad at the Spotted Cow Corral, Reckless Remedy at the Suds & Sound Tent and Shy Guys at the Music Station at 7:30 p.m. and Copper Box at the M&R Pavilion at 8 p.m.  SaturdaySaturday morning will kick off with the baking contest at 10 a.m. followed by a pie auction at 12:30 p.m.  Tom Schneider and 2/5ths Band will perform at the M&R Pavilion at 2 p.m. following the Farmer Bud Showmanship, which will start at 1:15 p.m. The IRA Sprint Car Racing with PDTR 360 sprints will start at the Grandstand at 5 p.m. SundaySunday morning, there will be an Ecumenical church service at 10 a.m. and a flower demonstration at 11:30 a.m. There will also be a Wisconsin Arm Wrestling Competition for kids, adults and amateurs, with more than $3,000 worth in cash and prizes. Weigh-in for the competition is at the Poulty Tent at 11 a.m.  The Sheboygan County Holstein Futurity Show will take place at 1 p.m., and the extreme bull riding and barrel racing event will start at the Grandstand at 5 p.m.  Musical artists in the evening include N.E.W.
