MILWAUKEE — Francisco Lindor capped a stirring comeback and made sure the playoff-bound New York Mets maintained their narrow NL East lead.Lindor hit a two-out grand slam in the seventh inning to put New York ahead for good as the Mets rallied from a four-run deficit to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 7-5 on Tuesday.The Mets won their sixth in a row and remained one game ahead of the defending World Series champion Atlanta Braves, who have won five straight.The Mets staged this rally one night after clinching their first postseason berth since 2016 with a 7-2 triumph at Milwaukee. “Every game is extremely important,” Lindor said. “We’re in a fight. We said yesterday that’s not the end goal. We wanted to clinch, obviously, but that’s not the end goal.”Pete Alonso hit his second three-run homer in as many nights as the Mets won with just four hits.“This is fun,” Alonso said. “This is what you’re all excited for. This is what you work for in the offseason, this type of race. You have two great teams.
