ESCONDIDOAgTech Startup Hackathon starts FridayThe city of Escondido and Fresh Brewed Tech present an AgTech Startup Hackathon, bringing together farmers, technologists, community leaders, engineers and others to better understand agriculture and food system problems and build solutions. The hackathon runs from Friday through Oct. 23 at the Synergy CoWorking Centre, 140 N. Escondido Blvd. Come with an idea and learn how to advance it into a business; see the new potential Escondido AgTech Incubator; meet and collaborate with some of the area’s AgTech entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders. Tickets are free for the Oct. 23 pitch competition, $15 for a social event from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, and $99 for the full weekend hackathon.
