So when the 717 lb-ft of torque in the 2023 e-tron S variant is applied to the ground through a standard (though not conventional) all-wheel-drive system (AWD), it can hit 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. Non-S models need another second or so, but that’s still pretty good for an SUV weighing nearly 3 tons. (The less fun thing about electric motors is that they need heavy batteries to run them.)
