VR developer UNIVRS announced today that its upcoming VR title, Attack on Titan: Unbreakable, is launching in early access on July 23. The first two chapters of the game will be available for gamers on Meta Quest Pro, 2 and 3, constituting about four or so hours of gameplay. The developer also revealed a roadmap that shows they plan to launch the 1.0 version of the chapters, alongside co-op mode and other chapters, sometime later this year.

The adaptation of the popular manga/anime casts the player as a member of the Scout Regiment, who must battle the towering titans with their Omni-Directional Mobility Gear. They must complete timed objectives, claim supply drops and protect civilians in first person while navigating the recreated village inside Wall Maria. The game features the anime’s English and Japanese voice cast reprising their roles.

Keigo Fujikawa, CEO of UNIVRS, said in a statement, “We have heard fans’ voices from the Attack on Titan community and are eager to give them what they want. You have been patiently waiting since we first announced Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable in 2022, and are thrilled to share all of our hard work with audiences.”

UNIVRS first revealed Attack on Titan: Unbreakable last year, when it launched a concept trailer for the game. The two trailers — the concept trailer and the early access trailer — look radically different from each other, and it remains to be seen if Unbreakable will look like the concept trailer later in development. The early access launch on Meta Quest Store costs $4.99.
