The Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) recently participated as a Silver Partner in the prestigious 3rd Annual Kingdom Business & Luxury Travel (KBLT) Congress 2024, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from September 25-26. The event brought together leading figures from the corporate, business, and luxury travel sectors across the Middle East, offering a platform for discussions, collaborations, and future partnerships.
The KBLT Congress is a significant annual gathering designed to foster connections and partnerships between key players in the business and luxury travel sectors throughout the Middle East. Over two days, the event featured conferences, panel discussions, and B2B meetings that allowed travel industry professionals to exchange valuable insights, showcase innovations, and explore new opportunities in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sector.
ATB’s role as a Silver Partner allowed them to spotlight Azerbaijan as a premier destination for business and luxury travel, particularly in the realm of MICE tourism. During the event, representatives from ATB held over 20 meetings with Saudi companies, delving into potential collaborations and exploring opportunities to host more conferences and events in Azerbaijan. The discussions highlighted Azerbaijan’s commitment to catering to the needs of corporate clients and luxury travelers from the Middle East, with Baku emerging as a key destination for international business events.
In recent years, Azerbaijan has solidified its status as a hub for business events, with its capital, Baku, attracting international conferences, conventions, and high-profile corporate gatherings. Azerbaijan’s appeal lies in its unique combination of modern facilities and rich historical and cultural heritage, making it an ideal destination for high-end corporate clients.
The participation of ATB in the KBLT Congress underscores Azerbaijan’s ambition to expand its influence in the Middle Eastern business travel market. The country’s growing prominence as a MICE destination is reflected in the rising number of visitors from Saudi Arabia.
