Croatia Airlines Unveils Impressive New Airbus A220 at Istanbul Airshow 2024
Saturday, September 28, 2024
Croatia Airlines has partnered with global aircraft manufacturer Airbus to spotlight the A220 at the Istanbul Airshow 2024, held from September 26 to 28 at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport.
During the 14th edition of the Istanbul Airshow, Croatia’s national airline is proudly presenting its first new Airbus A220-300 aircraft. This aircraft was officially welcomed in Zagreb at the end of July and began regular operations in early August. The unveiling of the A220 marks the beginning of the airline’s most ambitious project to date — a complete fleet renewal, which will see the addition of 15 new Airbus A220s by 2027.
Along with showcasing the new Airbus A220, representatives from Croatia Airlines will share insights about their experiences operating the aircraft during regular flights at the event.
Notably, Croatia Airlines’ first Airbus A220-300 has a seating capacity for 149 passengers, carries the registration 9A-CAE, and is named “Zagreb.” The A220 is a next-generation aircraft known for its superior efficiency and minimal noise emissions within its category. Its innovative cabin design ensures a comfortable passenger experience, featuring the widest seats and highest ceilings in its class, along with a wider aisle, increased legroom, larger overhead storage, and expansive panoramic windows that allow for more natural light.
The Airbus A220-300 also introduces a refreshed visual identity for Croatia Airlines. The updated logo and modernized livery highlight the airline’s core values: quality, safety, travel comfort, and hospitality. Additionally, the new logomark design aligns more closely with the tail design, a distinctive feature of Croatia Airlines’ branding.
Croatia Airlines’ participation in the Istanbul Airshow is particularly significant as the airline celebrates its 35th anniversary and two decades as a member of Star Alliance.
