Maldives promotes luxury travel at ATF 2024 Dhaka, attracting Bangladeshi tourists with MMPRC and partners

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation , in collaboration with the National Hotel and Guest House Association (NHGAM) and the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO), is set to highlight the Maldives’ appeal to the Bangladeshi market during the Asian Tourism Fair (ATF) Dhaka, taking place from September 19th to 21st, 2024. As the principal partner country of ATF 2024, the Maldives delegation comprises 37 representatives from 23 tourism industry partners, focusing on promoting leisure and affordable luxury travel to Asian nations, with special attention to the rapidly growing Bangladeshi market.
ATF Dhaka serves as a comprehensive tourism event, offering networking and collaboration opportunities between the private sector, organizations, and development agencies across Asia. The fair fosters connections between individuals, destinations, and countries. In addition to the core B2B and B2C exhibitions, the event features an array of sideline activities such as showcases of sustainable tourism initiatives, seminars, workshops, and cultural exchanges. Notable highlights include a dedicated community-based tourism mart and a tourism skills convention tailored for industry professionals and marketers. Adding further excitement, this year’s ATF 2024 coincides with World Tourism Day, making it an even more impactful occasion.
The Maldives’ exhibit at ATF 2024 shines a spotlight on the destination’s unparalleled beauty and distinctive offerings, showcasing the vast array of experiences, the vibrant underwater world, and the stunning natural landscapes that have earned the Maldives its title as the World’s Leading Destination. Visitors to the stand can enjoy engaging activities, including sampling authentic local cuisine, while exploring the diverse tourism options, with a special focus on affordable luxury and family-friendly travel experiences.
Deputy Managing Director of (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) Zihuny Rasheed gave an insightful speech about the unique offerings of Maldives and the importance of the Bangladesh market at the inauguration of ATF 2024.  He mentioned “As a leading tourism destination,  Visit Maldives is committed to promoting itself as a premier travel destination. Together with NHGAM and MATATO, we are working tirelessly to create innovative marketing campaigns and strategic partnerships that showcase the beauty, diversity, and sustainability of our islands.” Additionally, the MMPRC team gave a  valuable presentation about the Maldives’ offerings to the Bangladeshi travel trade.
