took to the Instagram service his company operates to reveal he is raising cows in Hawaii on what could be considered a fratboy’s diet of beer and nuts.

“Of all my projects, this is the most delicious,” he said. Some on social media joked that at least he wasn’t raising llamas — a reference to the name of Meta’s artificial intelligence large language model that is a rival to ChatGPT. He also received predictable blowback for the environmental impact of raising cattle. Cows account for some 4% of greenhouse gases. Fellow billionaire Bill Gates has advocated developed countries move to entirely synthetic beef. Zuckerberg can certainly afford his new hobby: Meta shares have surged 168% over the last 52 weeks. He is sixth on Bloomberg’s billionaire list with an estimated worth of $129 billion.
