Arena Breakout: Infinite is the one of the newest games in the military sim genre, a tactical first-person shooter in which players must find their own resources, defeat other players and achieve their goals. Developer MoreFun Studios launched the game in closed beta in April, where it attracted lots of attention from fans of the increasingly crowded genre. According to MoreFun’s developers, Infinite is designed to offer a fun experience for all players, from the casual player to the hardcore genre fan.

GamesBeat spoke with MoreFun’s head of studio, Hanjin “Enzo” Zhang, about how the studio built Infinite from the original Arena Breakout, and what the studio is creating with its new title. MoreFun’s previous title, Arena Breakout, was a mobile-only FPS, and Infinite is an evolved version of that title. Zhang said, “Our development team is not that big — we have less than 100 people on the development side. We’ve been working on the PC version of Infinite for over three years, and in fact we started development on it before the mobile game was released.”

Zhang acknowledge the hardware limitations on mobile, and said that this is MoreFun’s first major PC game. “We’ve paid attention to the feedback, and we hope the community will trust our commitment to solve any issues in future versions of the game… We hope that when players want to play an immersive military sim, that we can provide that kind of experience.”

What does Arena Breakout: Infinite offer to gamers?

Arena Breakout: Infinite launches into a genre that’s become more populous within the last few years. Games such as Escape from Tarkov and Grey Zone Warfare have cornered the market on tactical military shooters, to say nothing of the massive franchises like Call of Duty and Battlefield that have incorporated tactical modes in their gameplay.
