Mark your calendars, Take-Two Interactive has update the release window for Grand Theft Auto VI to Fall 2025.

“As we enter Fiscal 2025 with positive momentum, we expect to deliver Net Bookings of $5.55 to $5.65 billion. Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI. We are highly confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to increase,” said Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive in a statement.

Even before its initial reveal trailer dropped, Grand Theft Auto VI was one of the most anticipated game launches ever. A Fall release date sets Take-Two up for success during 2025’s holiday season.

While GTA VI’s release is over a year away, Take-Two is still benefitting from fans’ excitement today. In its earnings report, Take-Two revealed Grand Theft Auto V has sold an additional 5 million units in the last quarter. The blockbuster title has now sold approximately 200 million units worldwide.

Additionally, hype for Grand Theft Auto VI has helped both GTA V and GTA Online grow their audiences. During FY2024, which ended March 31, 2024, the audience size for these titles grew 35% and 23% respectively. In turn, Rockstar’s premium subscription service, GTA+, also continued to grow. Memberships for Q4 FY24 almost doubled compared to the same period in the prior year.
